FODMAPs stands for Fermentable Oligosaccharides, Disaccharides, Monosaccharides, and Polyols. These are types of carbohydrates (sugars and fiber) that are poorly absorbed in the small intestine and can cause digestive issues in people with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and other conditions.
