Hareem Definition

Hareem refers to a part of a wealthy or noble man’s house in which his family lived and entertained guests. It is often associated with the harem system in ancient and some medieval Islamic culture, where the term generally refers to the private quarters reserved for the male members of the household, their wives, and a few trusted slave girls. However, the term is also sometimes used more broadly to refer to a private or restricted area in any setting.
