Hydrodesulphurization Definition

A catalytic process used in the petroleum refining industry to remove sulfur from petroleum fractions. It involves the simultaneous hydrogenation of sulfur compounds and the removal of hydrogen sulfide (H₂S). This process leads to cleaner fuels which are safer and have a lower environmental impact.
