NetBIOS Extended User Interface, a network protocol developed by IBM for local area networks (LANs). NetBEUI is a connectionless protocol that does not provide for reliability, flow control, or quality of service (QoS). It was primarily used on local area networks to facilitate file and printer sharing between computers. However, NetBEUI is no longer in common use and has been replaced by more advanced network protocols such as TCP/IP and NetBIOS over TCP/IP.
