In classical mythology, chiogenes (also chieogenes) are a class of demigods resulting from the union of a mortal or demi-god with a female chiepgae (sea horse). They are usually depicted as having the head and body of a horse and sometimes the tail of a fish, and are associated with the ocean and sea.
