NISDN stands for Narrowband Integrated Services Digital Network, a telecommunications standard for the provision of various communication services, including voice, data, and video, all over a digital network between an end user service and a switch in the telephone network. It is an older technology that has been largely superseded by ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network).
