A rare mineral, also known as scorodite (FeAsO4·2H2O), that is typically blue in color and can be found in oxidized zones of iron-arsenic sulfides. It was first identified in Japan and is named after Renge, a Buddhist female deity, because of its distinctive blue color believed to resemble the divine dress of deities in Japanese mythology.
